Stanley Mosk Courthouse Small Claims - Los Angeles, CA

There are two judges overseeing small claims court at Stanley Mosk Courthouse: Commissioner Castro and Judge Griego. Commissioner Emma Castro was appointed to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 2011. The Hon. Castro was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978. She graduated from UCLA School of Law and belongs to the Mexican American Bar Association and Latina Lawyer Bar Association. Judge Thomas J. Griego was elected to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 2015. Hon. Griego earned an M.S. from CSU Los Angeles, and graduated from Whittier Law School in 1990. Griego served the majority of his legal career as as a prosecutor and litigator for the City of Los Angeles.  He was recently re-elected in the Superior Court in 2020.

There are a number of pay parking lots near the courthouse. These include the Disney Concert Hall Garage, 221 W 2nd St Parking and Auto Park 26. A small amount of street parking is available on Grand Avenue.

The Stanley Mosk Courthouse is located at 11 North Hill Street in the downtown area of Los Angeles. The court building is accessible by the US-101 and CA-110. After entering the courthouse and passing through security, you will be directed to the correct department. The small claims office is located on the first floor in Room 113.
