The presiding judge is the Honorable David Lampe. Lampe, a registered Republican, is a graduate of the Santa Clara University School of Law. Before being appointed to the bench, Lampe worked as a partner at law firms where he focused his work on civil litigation. He is well-known as the attorney representing the Bakersfield Baker in the nationally-reported same-sex wedding cake court case.
